Bruno Mars: That’s What I Like

This American singer-song writer reminds me of a mix between Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. Considering the fact that his nickname growing up was “Little Elvis” everyone must have known he was going to be the big star that he is. But can we consider him an icon just yet?

In 2016, Bruno Mars‘s career went from “0 to 100” if you know what I mean. From performing in various award shows, such as the 59th Grammy Awards, and one of the biggest top model fashion shows in the world, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. In this fashion show he performed different songs from his new album titled 24K Magic. Songs like “Chunky“,”That’s What I Like“, and the title track “24K Magic“.

It has never been a difficult thing for Bruno to score a hit once he releases songs, especially once releasing albums. The reason I believe he is so successful in what he does is because he is never in the media for controversies, keeps his life private and also because he has patience. Best things are done when we have patience. He disappears from the media and spotlight for years, to work on his music, to then release them. Even though it is hard not hearing from this amazing pop singer for a couple of years, it is amazing as to how once he does release something it is like he never left.

Two days ago (April 22) he released 4 remixes to his hit song “That’s What I Like”. In these remixes he features Gucci Mane, PARTYNEXTDOOR, BLVK JVACK and Alan Walker. I was very excited to listen to these remixes because the song itself is an amazing song. After listening to them, I was very shocked as to how little the song was actually remixed. I felt as if I was listening to the same song over and over again. I was hoping for something crazier. Still an amazing song, just wouldn’t call them remixes.
