Now, this may sound a little insane but she actually used these alter egos when she was a young girl to escape the fighting between her parents, she named this specific alter ego “Cookie”. Nicki grew up with an alcoholic father who would constantly start fights in their own home, and even tried to kill her mother. One of her other alter egos is Nicki Lewinsky. She is one of Nicki’s most famous alert egos, and usually comes out when writing sexual lyrics. We can see this alter ego in Nicki’s song “Sunshine”.

2. Nicki is obsessed with her stuffed animals

The rapper brings four of her plushes on tour, one which is named Oscar and was once lost in the airport. She loved this stuffed animal so much that she was actually giving away 50,000 dollars to whoever found the monkey and returned it. Till this day we never found out if she got him back.

3. The “Super Bass” rapper is hated by many celebrities

Celebrities such as Lil Kim and Mariah Carey. The feud between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj started when they both threw shade at one another during the show American Idol, multiple times. In the first set of auditions Nicki called Mariah “a bitter, insecure woman”. Whether it was staged or not, for ratings, these two celebrities seem to have much hatred towards one another.

4. Her real name is not Nicki Minaj

Nicki’s real name is Onika Tanya Maraj. Her last name actually means king, and her first name (Onika), which comes from African origin, means “warrior”. When she was first signed Nicki hated the name the production wanted her to have, Nicki Minaj.

5. Nicki was born in Trinidad

Even though this beauty was born in Trinidad, her parents have African, Indian and Indonesian blood. At the age of five Nicki and her family decided to move to Queens, New York. Since she moved to New York at such an early age, people have labeled her as “New York raised” or “Queens-bred”
